Anthony Creations sterling water pump pin
What a rare find from Anthony Creations! This old fashioned water pump pin, designed by Antonio Aquilino, was granted patent D146635 in April of 1947. This particular pin is marked Pat.Pend. indicating it was made sometime between February of 1946 when the patent was applied for and the actual patent date. It is done in gold washed sterling with crystal, blue, red and pink rhinestones. The water pail, which has a movable handle, is copper colored with a brass colored band around the bottom. The attention to detail is incredible.
Marked Sterling Pat.Pend., this pin is 1 7/8" x 2 1/4" and in very good condition.
